Neville Martin: Chairman
Neville Martin has held a number of technical roles in the food manufacturing and distribution industries most of which were spent at Unilever in South Africa. He has served at chairman of the management committee for Avril Elizabeth Homes and has actively been involved in Stop Hunger Now for the last five years.
He holds a B.Com.(Admin) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Douglas Bolt: Director
Doug Bolt has held a variety of managerial and technical positions in the mining and engineering sectors including JCI Company Ltd, Messina Limited and Middelburg Ferrochrome. Doug's involvement with SHN SA began as a volunteer in Mpumalanga in 2010.
He holds a Higher National Diploma and Associate of Science degree from the Manchester College of Science and Technology.

Saira Khan: Chief Executive Officer
Saira Khan commenced her career as a Registered Nurse and moved into the Corporate Arena in 1990 where she held a number of key leadership roles in the Medical Health Insurance Arena. 16 Years ago she moved into the NGO sector and has held several senior executive positions with local and international NGOs throughout Africa including being CEO of the SA Society of Physiotherapists, Director of Development at Afrika Tikkun, Country Director at the Freeplay Foundation (UK) and Executive Director: Africa Region at Survivor Corps. Her experience in Africa and South Africa specifically has predominantly been in the health, education and poverty sector of NGOs and sustainability is key to her approach.

His forte as a Marketing and Business Development specialist has given him the opportunity to work in various sectors of business both locally and abroad. One of his passions is digital solutions and finding effective ways of maximizing the use of digital platforms as a marketing and communication tool to drive value for organisations. Rustum is currently the Marketing and Communications Director at Connecting Africa and also represents Unipalm Investment Holdings, a broad based black empowerment investment holdings company that is the majority shareholder in the business. Rustum has a passion for enriching and improving young lives and is committed to his role as a member of the board at Stop Hunger Now."
Karen Theunissen – Non Executive Director
Has a BA and a Bachelor of law (LLB) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand. She was admitted as an attorney in 2005 and received Masters of law (LLM) from the same institution in 2009.
Is a labour law practitioner of a Johannesburg based law firm and also serves on the board of directors’ since 2008. She heads the company’s labour law department. She is also responsible for the firm’s human resource management that includes restructuring to enhance both employee and employer efficiencies, management of grievance and disciplinary processes, CCMA and Labour Court representation, management of skills development, recruitment, employment equity and transformation in terms of the applicable legislation together with the drafting and implementation of policies.
She provides legal advice to the trustees of various trusts, including the creation of and running of BEE employee and other trusts.
Kamlesh Jogee – Non Executive Director
Qualified from Wits Technicon in 1999 and worked at an agency called Grafiklee for 3 years. This formed his grounding in design, art direction and conceptual thinking. Thereafter he worked at JWT as a Snr. Art Director for a year before taking on the position as Creative Director over the next 2 years. He was head hunted by the Publicis in 2005 and became a shareholder and board member of the group. In early 2011 he joined the TBWA Hunt Lascaris group and worked with Standard Bank, Nissan and Tiger Brands. In 2013 Whatif was created and is wholly owned by Kamlesh and services clients like Tiger Brands, Radio Jacaranda FM, Mister Sweet and AON. WHATIF is known for unconventional strategy and creative thinking. Kamlesh’s key strength is finding new solutions to old problems
“Sean has a B.Comm and a B.Acc from the University of the Witwatersrand, completed his articles of training at Deloitte & Touche and qualified as a chartered accountant at the end of 1991. He served 2 years military service at the Receiver of Revenue as a senior tax officer. He worked just over 20 years for an American sales and marketing company focusing on the building of private label brands for retailers. During this time he managed business in South Africa, Mexico, Germany Czech Republic, United States, Angola and Kenya.
